The morning after their stellar tent set, Umphrey’s McGee took the outside stage at Wakarusa 2005. While it was still a great set, it really didn’t hold a candle to the previous night…but then again, most bands that play a fest like Wakarusa play better in the confines of a smaller space (and with a trippy light show.)

Umphrey’s set was solid, though; the highlight was definitely when Luther Dickinson came in to take over for Brendan Bayliss and went toe to toe with Jake Cinninger (who would repay the favor later during the Allstars’ set.)
